Pastor, Philadelphia Independent Baptist Church

Dr. Edi Purwanto hold Scholar of Theology (S.Th.) and Master of Theology (M.Th.), which both are accredited degrees of Ministry of Religion of Republic of Indonesia. He also received Master of Management in Human Resources (M.M.) from IPWIJA Business School, Jakarta. He hold  D.Phil. in Religion from Christian Leadership University. He also received Doctor of Theology (Th.D.) from Landmark Baptist Theological Seminary, Fort Worth, Texas. And now he is Candidate Ph.D. in Development Studies at Satya Wacana Christian University, Salatiga, Central Java, Indonesia.

Dr. Edi Purwanto serves as Pastor of Philadelphia Baptist Church and president of Philadelphia Baptist Theological Seminary in Tangerang, Indonesia. He also began Institute for Puritans and Baptist Studies at his seminary and he serves as director. He is also a visiting lecturer at several seminaries throughout the Indonesia, namely in Jakarta, Kalimantan, West Java, and Central Java. He has written several books. He has visited Netherlands, Germany, India, Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore.
